It'll give the beans something to play with until your corn catches up. :)RevAllysonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08647500969442410706noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4007490949582525706.post-40112213328342615992011-06-01T12:03:12.653-04:002011-06-01T12:03:12.653-04:00I read that too (before I planted even), but decid...I read that too (before I planted even), but decided to ignore it. I think the way the plants are spaced, it should be okay, but only time will tell for sure.Chris K.https://www.blogger.com/profile/12054057713267875769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4007490949582525706.post-59251893563209192012011-06-01T11:56:53.111-04:002011-06-01T11:56:53.111-04:00Seems like when we tried the 3 sisters we had the ...Seems like when we tried the 3 sisters we had the same problem. I read somewhere after the fact that you should wait to plant the beans until the corn has started coming up. Havent really put it to the test though since our soil is so bad that corn grows very poorly here.Jennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4007490949582525706.post-46732338730562864822011-06-01T11:54:55.744-04:002011-06-01T11:54:55.744-04:00Dee Dee, that sounds like a good idea in theory, b...Dee Dee, that sounds like a good idea in theory, but, in practice, I'm not sure how I'd do that, since I don't have separate spinach areas. You can see where the spinach is growing in the back of the St. Patty's bed and the left side of the front raised bed, so I'm open to ideas within that framework.Chris K.https://www.blogger.com/profile/12054057713267875769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4007490949582525706.post-12113909532319229592011-06-01T11:47:45.400-04:002011-06-01T11:47:45.400-04:00Try to make a few hoops over the spinach and drape...Try to make a few hoops over the spinach and drape a white cloth just on the top of the arch to provide some shade to your spinach during the high sun. It should help slow the bolting.<br />Good luck!Firefly5555https://www.blogger.com/profile/01249172770314821685noreply@blogger.com
