I've read that floating row covers will help with this if you put them on at the right time.Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05395386835851422392noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4007490949582525706.post-50698872859913312672011-08-10T11:26:23.899-04:002011-08-10T11:26:23.899-04:00I agree with the above comment! awesome inspirati...I agree with the above comment! awesome inspiration!!! My neighbor will be irritated next year when I put in another raised bed by our border, but it gets the most sun of all my yard and a small fence with a raised bed is going in there!!! I may just put sunflowers and cut flowers but I also may sneak in some herbs or such! :)Kelliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18097359543490900341noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4007490949582525706.post-78879927326787670222011-08-10T11:14:12.010-04:002011-08-10T11:14:12.010-04:00I'm glad I was able to bring a ray of sunshine...I'm glad I was able to bring a ray of sunshine to you. :) Having read your blog for a few months now, I am seeing that my despair was over-rated. I *can* raise enough food on the lot we will have, provided I'm not stupid about how I lay it out. No, I don't have an acre to spread out over, but that's fine... I won't have a whole bloody acre to weed, either. :)RevAllysonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08647500969442410706noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4007490949582525706.post-48938724392992643932011-08-10T10:46:20.608-04:002011-08-10T10:46:20.608-04:00You're welcome :-) That made my morning! You're welcome :-) That made my morning!Chris K.https://www.blogger.com/profile/12054057713267875769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4007490949582525706.post-70508089718536339512011-08-10T10:24:56.320-04:002011-08-10T10:24:56.320-04:00I have got to say, you are an incredible inspirati...I have got to say, you are an incredible inspiration. I have spent the last three years in a sprawled out garden over an entire acre, producing hundreds of pounds of veg that was canned, frozen, dried, and some of it sold or eaten fresh. I'm now moving to a house that has less than an acre total land, and the house itself takes up a good third of that. I was feeling so much despair when I found out I didn't have room for a "real" garden, and then I found your blog. Now, we're looking at containers for some things, raised beds for others, water collection along the back-side of the house where it runs off, and a bunch of other things. You have me hope when I had very little, and so I thank you. :)RevAllysonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08647500969442410706noreply@blogger.com
