I use filling that taste alright cold too. But when I am out working in the field I take them out of my ice chest about an hour before I eat them if its cold out side I turn the heater in my truck to defrost and set the hot pocket on the dash a while works for me. If you cant do that and are driving in a vehicle wrap it in tin foil and set it some place on the engine it will warm up quick.Roxannenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4007490949582525706.post-27252989391560732122011-09-10T01:23:56.657-04:002011-09-10T01:23:56.657-04:00Have you looked into reusable hot packs? Instant HOT crystal structure, then you microwave or boil to return solution to liquid. Would be hot enough to at least warm the outside of a hot pocket for him.

We make a fresh spring roll in the summer, but it uses rice wrappers. Not sure if its the same as spring roll wrappers. You basically soften the wrapper in hot water and fill with lettuce, rice noodles, herbs and shredded cooked pork/shrimp and sauce and serve with a peanut dipping sauce. Awesome when its too hot to cook/fry egg rolls.
http://allrecipes.com/recipe/vietnamese-fresh-spring-rolls/detail.aspxAngela Wattshttp://iheartmaine.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4007490949582525706.post-57677139075814753262011-09-09T12:06:30.649-04:002011-09-09T12:06:30.649-04:00Maybe some fillings would taste good room temperat...Maybe some fillings would taste good room temperature? But since he works long shifts in a cramped vehicle (with no access to a microwave - he never even has time to run into a gas station to use their microwave anymore), he needs items that can be eaten on the run without heating. But I might make these for when he's up at 2am at home and has the munchies - sounds far healthier than the chips and cookies he tends to grab.Patricialynnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16656235987162214880noreply@blogger.com
