We eat it like spinach but it is tougher and more like collards but with a nicer flavor.
I am terrible about watering things inside or out. If I could get more time to to it (and temps that aren't ridiculous like they were this summer), I might just have a better garden.becky3086https://www.blogger.com/profile/01026872543168452124noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4007490949582525706.post-53995326624166213622011-10-19T20:34:02.367-04:002011-10-19T20:34:02.367-04:00I grew Kale this year as well, and discovered, that ...I grew Kale this year as well, and discovered, that I do not like it,no matter which way it's prepared....however,the rabbits we are raising seem to especially enjoy it,so it's not going to waste.

We've had several heavy frosts, and it's still going,I may even plant some next year just for the rabbits.Lee Rhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05911593752939002971noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4007490949582525706.post-8623396097506598052011-10-19T15:45:57.524-04:002011-10-19T15:45:57.524-04:00I have yet to figure out a way that my family will...I have yet to figure out a way that my family will eat kale, but I know how great it is, nutritionally and in terms of hardiness, so I've been thinking about growing some anyway next year. lolChris K.https://www.blogger.com/profile/12054057713267875769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4007490949582525706.post-48683620808735474342011-10-19T15:32:01.609-04:002011-10-19T15:32:01.609-04:00I thought of you the other day. I grew some kale ...I thought of you the other day. I grew some kale this year, and to be honest I hate the stuff. That said, it has a lot going for it. First, I've been cutting it and cutting it and it is still vibrant green and growing, even in the cold temps! Also it is rich in calcium and all the other deep green leafy nutrients. If you like kale you should grow some in your space, you will not be disappointed! (unless, like me, you've tried and tried and tried and still hate it, lol) The rest of my yard looks pretty much like yours and I'm pretty tired anyway. :-)Shannonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14852362833362246151noreply@blogger.com
