Every day, except those times life gets in the way, I search Amazon to bring you the highest quality FREE ebooks to help you live a thriftier, more self-reliant life. These are the results of today's search. There are no magic lists or feeds to tell me where to find these books--this is the product of hours of work. Even though these books are free, I do make a small commission if you buy anything on the same trip to Amazon as when you go to download these books and that is what pays me for the hours of time I spend doing this for you. No one shared any actual Reader Recommendations for today, so here are a couple of my favorite homesteading products of all time.

Dr Bronner's is my go-to soap for pretty much everything, whether it be household cleaning, making laundry detergent, or body wash. I usually buy it by the gallon because it is the best value per ounce, and it lasts nearly a year, even with everything we use it for because a little goes a long way! It comes in a variety of natural scents (or unscented) and a wide variety of sizes if you aren't ready for the gallon sized commitment.

These caps are a great way to increase the usefulness of Mason jars even more! Not only can you use them when you don't use the whole jar of a homecanned thing, like the salsa I opened last night, but you can use them to store dried goods or homemade toiletries. I have a few of these capping homemade salves in my bathroom.
