My First Giveaway! *****CLOSED******

Okay, there are enough people noticing this modest little blog of mine now to make a giveaway fun!  I'm giving away two books, pictured below, that I've recently recommended, one from the baking soda post a couple weeks ago and one from yesterday's vinegar post.  Baking soda and vinegar go well together for a lot of cleaning applications, so I thought it appropriate that I give away the books together as well!

Heinz Vinegar: Over 100 Helpful Household Hints Arm & Hammer Baking Soda: Over 100 Helpful Household Hints

So here's the deal:  You can enter to win up to 3 times per person.  You are entered once automatically if you "like" this blog's Facebook page.  You are automatically entered if you "follow" this blog on Blogger (there should be a little thing to click on somewhere on the top of the window that says "follow."  Click that and follow the instructions, if you've never actually followed a blog like that before).  You can also enter by commenting on this post.  This contest is open worldwide and I will have a drawing at 11:59pm Eastern time (approximately) on Wednesday, March 23, so you have until then to enter.  I will announce the winner in Thursday's blog post.

Make sure you tell your friends too, so they can win too!  If they don't actually want the books, even better:  maybe they'll give them to you!  Good luck!

  8. Definitely needing them, too. Crossing my fingers. We also thought we were "thrifty" before, but since layoffs, unemployment, underemployment, & a lot of bad luck, we have learned to take thrifty to the extreme out of necessity! Thank you for your blog!!

  9. Yup, it's amazing how thrifty one can get when there is no other option and you just aren't willing or able to do without some things. For me, it was when my husband was injured and off work for almost a year, right around the time I had our youngest kid, so I was actually supposed to be on bedrest for part of that time and recovering from having a baby and then dealing with three kids 4 and under plus taking care of an injured spouse, so there wasn't any time for me to get another job, even if there were jobs around where we were living. I learned a whole lot more thrifty tricks then! Thankfully, everyone is okay now, but now I don't WANT to spend the money on some things I used to think nothing of spending on because it is so easy NOT to spend that money, ya know?
